FREMONT, CALIFORNIA
The General Motors Corporate Headquarters in Fremont, California was directed to find a company that could design a system of command and control that would meet the energy savings criteria from their global energy resources division in Detroit, Michigan. The O.C. McDonald Company was contracted to survey the existing building HVAC systems and to deliver an energy savings plan to replace the antiquated pneumatic control system, and introduce computer driven control capability to their building management team. We provided Johnson Controls Metasys as the answer to their need. Optimum performance was achieved, with the full integration taking place in a fully occupied multi-story office building.
The facility has changed hands since the O.C. McDonald Company was contracted, and we have served the facility all the way from GM ownership, through NUMMI, and now through Tesla.
